Info Post

To all our dear friends,

It has come to our attention that Papelitos Stamps, with which we had a collaboration challenge on the 14th of August, has been caught out for using other artists images (which they have on their blogs for free), and selling them as their own.  Papelitos claims that they had the owners written permissions to use these images, but cannot provide any proof.  They had closed down their challenge blog, and Etsy shop within hours after they were confronted about this.  They reopened the challenge blog yesterday.  Apparently they have a new DT Coordinator who has taken over??  We do not know how true all these accusations are, but as a result, the team and I have decided that we are removing the challenge post from this blog.  We do not condone this sort of art "lifting", and want to distance ourselves from Papelitos completely.  All the Rubber and Digi stamp artist work very hard to create their pretty stamps.  For another stamp company to sell their artwork, and claim it as their own, is completely distasteful and unacceptable.

We trust you will not be too angry with us for deleting your entries.  I do apologize for this :(

Big Hugs,
Wendy

  2. You definitely made the right decision, but now I'm in a bit of a pickle....I recently won 5 of their digis....I'm wondering if it's okay to use them? I'd really hate to be using something that was dishonestly obtained.....any advice would be welcome.

    1. Anne-Marie - if you can e-mail me privately at JennBorj@yahoo.com I might be able to help you identify the true artists of the digis, so you can give them proper credit. :) xo

  3. I'm kind of in the same boat as Anne-Marie. TBH I think I won't use them as I'd hate to be seen to support theft of this kind :(

  4. You've made the right decision, and I think anyone with any decency would agree. I had sadly paid to buy their images, but have deleted them as I don't know which are original work and which were stolen.
